April Flowers....

Finally....we have a new camera so we're back on the blog! We have a had a busy last few weeks as we gear up for the BIG deployment. Mike's mom was out for a week to sneak in a last visit with the kids before she and Steve head out on their Alaskan adventure! She was kind enough (and brave enough) to watch all 3 kids while Mike and I got away to Vegas for 2 nights. We had a great time.... stayed at Mandalay Bay, saw Mamma Mia, had a few nice dinners out and many drinks poolside. It was a bittersweet getaway, we missed the kids and were a bit anxious for the looming deployment, but it was definitely a time to reflect on how much we have to be thankful for. The kids are keeping busy with the pool, park, and their regular activities....but we are looking forward to mixing it up with a different summer routine which feels like it's right around the corner!
